We spent almost a week on this recipe because we had to bake the cake, make icing, melt marshmallow, make a fondant, and decorate the cake. It was my first time making fondant and decorating the actual layered cake, so I was really excited. We melted marshmallow and we mixed it with icing sugar, and we kneaded it so it looked like a bread dough. I put the butter cream icing to make the cake stick to the cardboard base before I started the actual decoration. Then I put one cake and put the butter cream layer, and then put the other cake. Decorating was the most exciting part of this lab. We rolled out the fondant dough and put it on the cake. We also made a bow and a ribbon with the extra fondant dough. I didn't really like this cake because it was too sweet but making fondant and decorating the whole cake with icing cream and fondant was a very exciting experience.

#2 Ice Cream Cupcakes
This recipe is the one of my favourite recipes. I loved the icing and the colour and I loved how sweet it was. We made icing and put the colour into it;our group's was pink.We put the bigger sized cupcakes on the bottom and then put the mini cupcakes. We covered them with coloured icing and made sure that we smooth the surface so that they would look like real ice cream. It was really fun to make those and they tested really good. I would like to make this recipe again!
#1 Ultimate Valentine Cake
We baked a cake onValentine's Day. It was the first time we baked in this class. It was really fun. We used egg yolks instead of fat since it was supposed to be a foam cake. We used a heat shaped pan, and we also melted chocolate chips to decorate the cake with chocolate dipped strawberries. We covered the cake with whipping cream, put the strawberries on the edge, and we wrote Happy Valentine's Day! with extra chocolate on the top of the cake. It looked so pretty and delicious but when I actually tested it, it was bit different than what I had expected. It was kind of too dry and not so sweet. We didn't add enough suger into whipping cream so it just tested like milk, was not sweet. If I were to make this recipe again, I would add more suger into whipping cream and make sure that the cake isn't dry.
